Islamic Relief Worldwide is one of the largest Muslim humanitarian organisations in the world. Founded in Birmingham in 1984, they respond to emergencies and implement sustainable development programmes in over 40 countries.
Their work spans emergency relief, orphan sponsorship, water and sanitation, education, healthcare, and livelihood programmes. They have consultative status with the UN and work closely with major international bodies.
