What is Zakat al-Fitr?
Zakat al-Fitr (also called Fitrana, Sadaqat al-Fitr, or Zakat ul-Fitr) is an obligatory charity that purifies the fasting person from any shortcomings during Ramadan.
It also enables the poor to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with dignity, ensuring no one goes hungry on this joyous occasion.
